We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic and responsive person to join our Food and Beverage team as a Dining Room Floor Supervisor.

The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Dining Room Manager with the coordination, seating, appearance and maintenance of the dining area and server stations and ensure that courteous and efficient services are delivered.The Dining Room Supervisor also performs specific duties in the absence of the Dining Room Manager.

Essential Duties:

1.In conjunction with or in the absence of the Dining Room Manager, supervises the physical appearance of the dining room area and server stations including but not limited to table pedestals, table place settings, chairs, floors, drapes and lighting.

2.Coordinates the seating of residents and guests in an efficient, courteous manner.

3.Schedules stations and work assignments for servers and checks out servers to ensure standards are met.

4.In conjunction with the Dining Room Manager and/or the Food & Beverage Director, provides on-the-job training for dining room staff including workplace safety procedures.

5.Records meal counts, reservations and additional charges using point-of-sale (POS) system.

6.Confers with the Dining Room Manager regarding the overall dining room status.

7.Assigns pre and post shift side-work.

 Other Duties:

1.Assists in implementation of policies and procedures of the dining room.

2.Waits tables and provides beverage and bar services as needed.

3.Participates in cost control measures.

4.Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.

5.Checks supplies like linen, carry-out paper goods, etc.

6.Reports items needing attention to Environmental Services.

7.Reports any broken equipment to Food & Beverage Director.

8.Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

9.Observes all safety rules and regulations.

10.HIPAA Compliance – follows written policies and procedures to ensure confidentiality of protected health information.

11.OIG Compliance – follows written policies and procedures to comply with the federal and state laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

1.High School graduate preferred.

2.A minimum of two years hospitality experience in a lead position.

3.Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills.

4.Ability to interpret and explain menus, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.

5.Ability to communicate with, understand, empathize with, work with, and be tolerant of residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors and subordinates.

6.State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card preferred.

7.Compliance with the Influenza Vaccination Policy is required for this position for all North Oaks employees.Please refer to the policy for details.All North Oaks employees may access the Influenza Vaccination Policy via their Human Resources representative or Executive Director. 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:Light to moderate physical effort 90% of the time.Must be able to move about the dining room and nearby areas 90% of the workday.Ability to position self to reach, bend and stretch frequently.Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs frequently.Ability to observe details, communicate information and ideas so others will understand, and be able to exchange accurate information.
